Entertaiment is a large and varied category of activities. It covers the full range of human activity from the individual who creates their own entertainment, like a game or a poem, through to the individual who consumes pre-recorded entertainment, such as a film or a play. It is often associated with pleasure, fun and amusement but it can also have a serious purpose, as in the case of ceremonies, celebrations, religious festivals, or satire.
